And I thought Lonndon wasn't big enough

Today was really relaxing from the stressful times, as I went to Birmingham. And bloody hell, what a trip it was.

Went into the Art Gallery, but it didn't interested me at all (though the interactive parts were fun; reminded me that I felt like a giddy kid again XD). Though I went into the Gas Hall and my reaction is this: WTF?! Why am I surrounded by a bunch of crappy objects?! And somehow, I saw a bunch of Nintendo knitted pillows. Hmm...

After some lunch and got lost as I went into the Jewellery Quarter, I managed to get back to the Central Shopping Area and visited Birmingham's Forbidden Planet (and bought Mushishi volume 1 and some Japanese Cosplay magazine (yeah, don't ask. Research purposes only). Then before I went back to the station to catch a train, I went into HMV and played a bit of Final Fantasy XII (argh! And it's in the middle of the game that I don't know where the bloody know I am! >_<) and then Waterstones to buy the book that I always have trouble into finding the author's name, but know the title: Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH. Gonna read it before bed.

Now that I'm back in boring Stoke-on-Trent, I'm too tired to eat some shit. Gotta go to Sainsburys to buy some food tomorrow. Ja ne.

Quote of the Moment - "And so now I'm drawing this kind of story." - Yuki Urushibara, manga-ka of Mushishi

Ewe must see this (Sorry, baaad Sheep Joke)

Straight from the Shaun the Sheep's official website, comes a selection of some very nice video clips from the show and here's my comments from my favourite little sheep from the Wallace and Gromit series (BE WARNED: Because I uploaded all of the six clips from the official website, you might need to pause the videoes and choose one of them for your viewing pleasures):

In response to the news that involves an eight year old kid who is so obese, this is what the authority should handle. And it's pretty funny too.

XD I felt so sorry for the duck when it dived down to the sheep dip. Just love the glass tipping SFX.

XD If you're a football fan, you should know this. Or not.

Aaaw! is what I can describe about this cute little lamb. So kawaii~! That farmer bastard should be in Hell for taking his teddy bear away.

The same can be said for the pigs.

And this is where Shaun get his artistic with his drawing and painting, though is it me or is the picture looks like John Constable one?

Oh man! I can't wait to see the first episode on Monday, though that means I have to get off my arse in the Art Studio and run down to my room, as the program starts at 3:45 pm. >_<

Quote of the Moment - "Baa." - Er, random sheep noise.

Insert Monty Pyhton Joke

Oh yeah! There's going to be a Life of Brian Musical soon!

After watching the Monty Python movie twice (one on rented DVD and the other on New Year's Day with my lil sis), I can't wait to see if that 'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life' bit is still intact and let's face it, it wouldn't be a complete Life of Brian without it. That, or the now-infamous line of 'He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy'.

As for what I'm going to do for my art project, hmm, well after seeing some rather grim pictures of wooden warp sculptures and stuff, I think I'm going for the Yotsuba&! path and blend it with some art satire where I take the piss out of my Level 0 art and design teacher. Heehee, that'll teach her when it comes to observation and declare it as art.

Quote of the Moment - "Be careful. Each word is a hundred hooks, a thousand meanings and ten thousand lies." - Urataros (Smexy-Glasses-possessed-Ryoutarou) from Kamen Rider Den-O; probably the best quote for ages IMO, since Godot from Gyakuten Saiban 3 (aka Phoenix Wright: Ace Attonery) came up with the coolest lines.

Vampires and Pancakes

Just watched Black Blood Brothers last night and safely to say, that has a damn good, if short, anime series! I just love the relationship between the vampire Jirou (who is a bit like Arucard or whatever from Hellsing, only replacing his personality with the mild-mannered approach) and the Compromiser, Mimiko. They're make a great couple when I see those two together and I laughed when they tend to do the wrong things, plus they act like Rosette and Chrno from Chrno Crusade (best couple in the manga, IMO) in terms of relationships.

And also, there's Jirou's younger brother, Kotarou; at first I found him to be very irritating and annoying in the first episode, but then later, I discovered his identity and past and I suddenly like him as a cute boy. And no, I'm not going to tell you the whoke story, so click on the link that says 'Black Blood Brothers' and do your own research.

Urgh, I feel like I want to do some pancakes tonight, but I can't, because I have to wait for my friends, coming back from lectures and such, to bring on the stuff and eat some lovely pancakes! Urgh...Must...wait...longer...

Quote of the Moment - " re-posed my Faiz SIC. He looks badass, and I love him." - Some female Kamen Rider fan talking about reposing her Faiz SIC for either a more Kingdom Hearts pose or the famous 'Sephiroth' pose without the riduculously long Masamune.

Why did I imagine that Ryutaros and Jan make Great Friends

Argh! I can't get my imagination out of my head, but seriously. I think that Ryutaros, a.k.a that purple Gun Form Ryo (when in Ryotaro-possessed mode) from Kamen Rider Den-O and Jan Kando from Jūken Sentai Gekiranger would make great friends (well, Momotaros was the alternative choice, but even this punk Imagin wasn't as crazy as Ryutaros), because:

  • Both of them really have a mind of a mischevious child, who wanted nothing, but shear mischief and fun to the environment they live in.
  • They're both difficult to control themselves down and both giving the main cast of Den-O and Gekiranger a hard time to deal with.
The only difference I can think of is their appearances, but that's about it. And if both of them should meet each other up and hang out together, this is my imaginative scenario...

Ryutaros: Hey Jan, wanna hang out with me and have some 'fun'?
Jan: *Nods head very cheerfully with a devil's smile on his face and speaks in a 'Jan' language ir whatever*
Ryutaros: All right! Let's dump this place!

*Several minutes later and Tokyo becomes from a clean city, to one hell mess of a place, where lots of Rinseries, some famous previous Kamen Rider Kaijins are running amok, with buildings on fire, people running and screaming all over the place and with the main cast members' faces from Den-O and Gekiranger varied from Hana's mouth wide open in shock to Ran and Retsu's expressions to shear horror.*

Ryutaros: *Laughs like a complete idiot*
That was fun, wasn't it, Jan?
Jan: *Grins very happily*

*Then the main cast of Den-O and Gekiranger appeared from behind them...*

Everyone (including Ryotaro's voice, whose body is currently possessed by Ryutaros): NO, WE'RE NOT! YOU'VE RUINED TOKYO FOR JUST SHEER FUN!

And that's about it. XD I so want to see this as a good crossover bit, like the one in Kamen Rider Kabuto/Boukenger bit, where BoukenRed enters into the cafe in Kabuto with Tendou and let the hilarious interaction take place. And I'll say one more time: if Jan from Gekiranger was asked on what his best friend other than a panda is, it would have to be Ryutaros from Kamen Rider Den-O. The chemistry between the two in terms of friendship would be hilarious and horrifying, depending on the characters' view, as well as the fans.

Quote of the Moment - "
He was scouted by Scratch because he personifies the "Body" ( Tai?) of a Gekiranger: he can be pinned against the ground by a big log with no harm at all." - Gekiranger's Wikipedia entry on Jan. At least, unless someone changes it...

No Reason at All

Being bored during the morning to this evening (and going back to Manchester for the VIETNAMESE New Year (also known as Tet) this weekend, I decided to put a few pictures of my room (now organised) in the Halls.

Here's the sink, with my portable easel now placed in a nice corner, since my mate's boyfriend placed the other bed some where...My bed with some plain, but cool duvet, along with a couple of plushies, a Fruits Basket calender, my pyjamas, pieces of 'The Guardian' newspapers and a pair of socksYeah, the shelves are still messy as ever, but at least the desk below is pretty clean now. And don't ask about my dinner...

Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to finish my dinner...

Quote of the Moment - "You've got to be able to break the wall..." - Nicolas Cage talking about his life of whatever in the Film & Music section in Friday's Guardian.

Maybe Teaming Up Might Be a Bad Thing After All

I don't know, if my head's going a bit crazy or something, but for some reason, I had this dream where I was in the Denliner (though in the Cafe carriage part, where Naomi serves coffee), feeling a bit blue, until I saw Jan (a.k.a GekiRed) from GekiRanger having a nice chat with...Ryutaros in Ryo-possessed mode (a.k.a. that purple crazy and somehow artistic bloke) from Kamen Rider Den-O and that Green Emo Ranger from Mighty Moshin' Emo Rangers. Only, it wasn't such a nice chat, but these three crazy, but cool blokes were on high on crack and then causing not only in the Denliner, but somewhere in Japan and England too. O_O' Er, yeah. I always imagine those three would somehow team up and instead of saving the world, they causing mass destruction to the buildings while fighting monsters and then shock (and horrify) the remaing cast from the three series (okay, the MMERs are not really bothered about it, but come on) when finding out after slashing monsters and saving the world, they actually find these three smoking crack and weed in one room. Hmm, I would like to see this, but I doubt it...

Quote of the Moment - "Momotaros!?" - Er, Momotaros from Kamen Rider Den-O, when Ryoutarou Nogami poorly names this punk Imagin.

And Yes, He gets to Keep his Kanshu hair

Dammit! I knew I shouldn't skip chapter 17 on the World Embryo raw, but since that guy's forgot to add some seeds in the torrent, the only completed file that I can read is chapter 18 and there's a bit of a spoiler, but yes...

For fans waiting to see if Riku's hair has changed, since he got his weapon from his, uh 'dead friend', he still manages to keep his lovely (and sometimes sexy) Kanshu hair. And because of that, I made an icon for my blog (oh man! Sexy Kanshu boy + With his Smexy Glasses on = FULL DROOLAGE CONTROL XD). And if you want to see a sneak preview of tha manga chapter that I just found, just bear with me for a second.

EDIT - I manage to upload one of the pages of the World Embryo scans, but this is a minor spoiler to those who are too late to get the scanlations of the previous 16 chapters, so here it is and click the image for the full page of seeing Kanshu Boy again:

You can stop worrying about the hair issue now. Even when summoning his Jinki weapon, Riku can keep his Kanshu hair whether he's aware or not.

Quote of the Moment - "I just hope that Harry Potter dies in the last book..." - My younger sister, who is not much of a Harry Potter fan, wants everybody's favourite wizard to die. Blame her, not me!

Tatsu no Ko Tarou and the Train

You're wondering why the two items above the titles have some kind of connections to the article that I'm talking. Well, uh...this is kind of awkward, but apparently, the Gun Form of Kamen Rider Den-O from this titular show is based on the dragon from the same anime movie (to which it's based from the novel or from some kind of Japanese fables that someone either forgot to research the missing fables or are actually too lazy to gather their brain cells moving) that I've mentioned. And what was really ironic about these two shows (or alternatively the movie and the long running franchise) are that they are both produced by the same company: Toei (which would explain why there is a Toei Animation company, as well as the Live Action company) . Well, okay, Kamen Rider wasn't animated in a typical anime kind of way like Tatsu no Ko Tarou (or Tarou the Dragon Boy), nor that TnKT wasn't made into live action kind of way, but I wonder why the Den-O people in Wikipedia are still arguing about the Forms (one minute someone said their Forms was based on Chinese constellations, the next they were based on the Japanese Mythological Heroes). Can't they just stick to on the final decision they've made (and I'm looking at the World Embryo Wiki people too, since I'm dying to know what the heck is going on after chapter 16 and whether or not Takao is an ally or not)?

And if you don't believe me that Tatsu no Ko Tarou (a Toei animated film apparently) is going to be a trivial point in the Kamen Rider Den-O Wiki page (and hopefully, they're not going to change it, as I'm sick and tired of having the pages changed so many times), then why not go to these webpages below, if you'r really curious about it:

ANN's Info about Tatsu no Ko Tarou (aka Tarou the Dragon boy)
Some interesting articles about Tatsu no Ko Tarou and the long lost anime films
Some site with the Tatsu no Ko Tarou pics made by Toei (ironically)

P.S. Come to think of it, the dragon from the Tatsunoko Tarou film really reminded me of Haru in his dragon form from Spirited Away X3.

Quote of the Moment - "Also, side note, stop adding pointless information, dumb shit, and otherwise irrelevant information. I've finally cleaned the article up, don't screw it up again. Add information thats actually about Den'ou." - One of the Den-O Wikipeople who is fed up with people changing the Kamen Rider Den-O article back and forth.

And I thought Blackpool's going get it...

Great. I'm feeling under the weather, my throat hurts and it seems the flu caught me, but that doesn't stop the surprise news to me.

It all started when I was going to the toliet and then suddenly as I 'went there', at the same time, the radio announced that Manchester has won the bet to have a super casino. And this is my thought about this:

EH?!

Of course, I was born and lived in Manchester (though I now live in Stoke-on-Trent for university purposes), but this is very much surprising to me. I thought that either Blackpool or Greenwich were getting it, but since Blackpool is part of the North West region and Greenwich already has the Olympics to worry about, I guess it makes sense. But now, I'm starting to worry about the gambling addiction or something. Oh well, if Manchester's super casino doesn't have an arcade with at least one DDR machine, I'm not going in!

BTW, if you want to see the whole news, you can at least click here.

Quote of the Moment - "I hope this show stays on track." - One of the messages from some Henshin forum, where they are making some Kamen Rider jokes (oh come on, what's wrong with comparing Densha Otoko?)

God! I love this cute, yet really weak Rider!

Just watched a RAE episode of Kamen Rider Den-O and by God, not only it was funny and nicely serious at the same time, but I'm starting to <3 that Ryotaro guy! OH come on, guys, at least it's a nice refreshing change from the previous Kamen Rider series that I've seen (ok, I only watched a bit of Ryuki (until I put off after 3 episodes, as I couldn't stand Shinji's character), some Blade (argh! Now why do I have a crush on that Undead Rider guy?) and most of Kabuto (Grandmother says: "I forgot that line."), though not Faiz or 555 or whatever, as well as the other older Kamen Rider series)! And I think there are some potentials in the show, like for one scene, where the 'Punk possessed' Ryo started to kick really big ass on the bullies, only that 'wimpy' Ryo actually 'stopped' him from doing so. He may seem to look like he's a wimp physically, but mentally, now that's what I called strength!

Urgh, I have to do some art stuff and I think my female art tutors, as well as that damn lecturer are starting to hate me for this....

Quote of the Moment - "H-h-henshin!" - Ryotaro Nogami from Kamen Rider Den-O and yes, he IS the unluckiest and weakest Rider in history...BUT it's impossible to love him! I want a Ryotaro plushie!

No More Drawing with Mouse

Finally, after spending my time in Photoshop on painful hours of drawing, colouring and manipulating the pictures with the mouse (and sometimes my laptop touchpad), I finally decided to buy one thing my parents and older sister refuse to do: buy a graphics tablet off from Amazon UK. And now, since it has arrived from my doorstep today, I rushed off from my room in some Halls of Residence to the Post Room in a matter of minutes, whilst mournfully doing some sort of presentation for the contextual studies. Uh, yeah.

And if you wanted some proof that I bought it, why not look at the photos below:

Front of the package, before I opened the box.And the back of the package, before I opened it and uh, disposed to somewhere safe...Inside the Box: A bunch of CDS that I'm not to going to install (except for the installation CD), some instruction manual and the all important grpahics tablet with a pen. ^_^

Well okay, the graphics tablet is an A6 size one, but that doesn't mean I can moan about it. It's perfect for my laptop, as it has an USB connection, plus, since my deskspace in my room is bloody small (as it has been invaded by my all-in-one printer and TV), it's practically perfect for me to store it besides my laptop and when I'm fed up with my creative mind, I can just easily store it away to a nice place. Now, if I can install them later and get on with my presentation (must...resist...getting...my...graphics...tablet...started...must...finished...presentation...)

Quote of the Moment - "I'm in love...with Chiaki-sempai?" - Noda Megumi (a.k.a. Nodame) from Nodame Cantabile. My God, this is the funniest anime (and live-action drama) I've watched for ages now.

When Latex in Japan isn't just enough

Well, Japan is famous for having the Kamen Rider series, as well as Super Sentai series (and GARO, of course ^_^), Thailand has got Sport Ranger and Crystal Knight, America has the most terrible thing in the world that is known as Power Rangers, France has that tonkatsu, to which I forgot the title again, and yes, even Britain has one (in the shape of Doctor Who, but come on! When the Doctor regenerates, that's called 'henshin', right? Oh, so some people think I'm mad enough to say that). And now, get ready to meet South Korea's version of their tonkatsu - Erexion. I'm not sure why this is very different to the Super Sentai series, but so far, it looks very impressive and the villains look so cool, they make the villains in the Super Sentai series green in envy. And let's not forget the cool opening song for Erexion - simply saying it's better than the Super Sentai series (I like the opening song to Super Sentai series; the only problem is that I don't like Boukenger's opening, so don't say 'BOO! YOU'RE NOT A TRUE SUPER SENTAI FAN!'). The only complaint that I'm griped about this, is that that the colour scheme is a little too bright for the show. I've seen a few clips of the show, so I'm pretty excited when it gets fansubbed. In the meantime, you can visit Erexion's site here.

Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to draw some sketches on the novel, on the homage to the tonkatsu shows in the world (except for the new Power Rangers shows from 2000 - present, i.e. America).

Quote of the Moment - "Why do you think they call me the devil?!" - Yoshihrio Shimazu from Samurai Warriors 2 (a.k.a Sengoku Musou 2).

It's Adventure Time! PBF Style!

Remember your innocent childhood being shattered when you find out the world isn't as goody-goody as you first thought? Well, it's going back to me, since watching Rem and Stimpy and a bit of Gary Larson at a really young age and it's from some cartoon called Adventure Time. Well, the artwork in the opening reminds me of a Rem and Stimpy one, but once the animation kicks in, I felt physically and psychologicly sick as I thought the animators and voice actors were drugged and drunk at the same time, while doing this. As for the plot, well, it concerns of a 12 twelve year old boy and his talking dog (to which he must have been drunk too much) going on...well, an adventure. Well, I won't tell you the whole story, but if you want to see the video, I suggest you watch it without bringing in your food. Though the art style does remind me of the Perry Bible Fellowship comic strip that I've read and laughed from an UK Guardian G2 newspaper and there are a few anime-ish sequences that I can recognise.

Click this link if you dare, but I'm not going to hold responsibility if you're feeling sick after watching this.

Quote of the Moment - "I'm downloading a little dance!" - Jake (I think) the dog from Adventure Time; the weirdest, yet somewhat funniest cartoon I've seen, since watching Rem and Stimpy.

Sephiroth Versus Kouga Saejima

Yes, you read that title right. Surprisingly, when I watched Final Fantasy VII Advent Children again, I'm comparing this to the live-action tokusatsu show GARO and somehow, to my surprise on how similar these two are:

  • Both were using OMNIBUS JAPAN as doing some VFX stuff (no, I'm not kidding. Just watch Adevnt Children and GARO and you'll see).
  • Somehow, the action in GARO is pretty much similar to Advent Children too, given that both of them defy the laws of physics literally.
  • The main character from Adevent Children and GARO, respectively Cloud Strife and Kouga Saejima, both uses swords and it's even more similar when Kouga's sword, when mounted on his metal golden horse Gouten, increases its size to even the same size as Cloud's Buster Sword.
  • Both of the monsters - GARO's Horrors and Advent Children's monsters and Bahamut Sin - look very similar to each other.
No wonder, I love GARO so much, even the music is somewhat similar to them. Yes, there were a few differences between them, like the storyline and the characters and also the directors, creators and designers, but somehow GARO is like a live-action version of Advent Children. And if you don't believe me, try watching the bonus ending in the Advent Children DVD without pressing the skip forward button and be surprise by spotting 'OMNIBUS JAPAN' somewhere on the credits. Well, I'm going to watch GARO again and attempt to compare Kouga as Sephiroth and Karou as Aerith for some odd reason.

Quote of the moment - "Where there is light, shadows lurk and fear reigns... yet by the blade of Knights, mankind was given hope..." - Some quote from GARO. I'll be surprise if there's a real second season to GARO and it involves Kouga fighting against Sephiroth.

When imaging Sentai and Manga become Weird

Just yesterday, I just watched over a half of that dark live-action Tokusatsu Japanese show, GARO and it was some sort amazing to my brain on how I can compare easily on the main character to another character from a manga.

GARO's Kouga Saejima is a bit like World Embryo's Takao, only with a few minor differences in terms of their goals and appearances. But they draw some amazing parallels between them:

  • Both of them are cold-hearted and emotionless on the outside, but on the inside, they have a heart of a nobleman.
  • Both of them wore light-coloured coats (though slightly different in their colour) to show their badass side.
Come to think of it, the more I think about these two, the more I want to explore Takao's past, as well as exploring Kouga's relationship with the female lead, Kaoru Mitsuki. It's strange to compare a live-action character to a character that only exists on paper, but it is very interesting to find out there some similarities.

Great, now I've been infected to read World Embryo again!

Quote of the moment - "EH?! You say that Gundam Musou exists?!" - Me in shock, when finding out that Koei and Namco Bandai announced they'll be releasing Gundam Musou. It's like Dynasty Warriors characters playing too much with Gundam models.

Merry Christmas

Just want to say Merry Christmas to all people who have been reading my blog and look forward to 2007 soon. Or something...

Emergency! DekaSho-saka! (SPOILER)

Lately, I've been watching Dekaranger over at some site (whilst having to suspend my Felt cosplay, because I realise that Stoke-on-Trent is famous for its potteries and not for its cotton, like Manchester) *coughyoutubecough* and apparently for some particular reason, I'm actually starting to like the Sentai series instead of its American counterparts, i.e. Power Rangers SPD (I've seen a few episodes, but there's not way I'm going to like it. Curse you, Disney). I'll probably give the reason why in a list:

  • Finally, I can watch the uncut version, where there's loads of fight and 'Rangers getting their arsed kicked with 'REAL' injuries, though they can still kick ass on those evil creatures.
  • Unlike SPD, Dekaranger actually has a great storyline that makes sense, there's some genuine humour and emotion in the show and great characters that can anyone can relate to.
  • The main characters are actually very realistic and they're not some 'goody-goody-save-the-world-twice'. They do have some feelings, you know, unlike SPD, which have some wooden feelings.
  • The Alizeniers (aka bad guys) are for once, getting their arses owned where the Dekarangers can 'delete' them and not in SPD, where they are trapped inside the card to which it makes no sense at all.
  • The actors and actresses who played the characters are good-looking and admittingly, I can't think, but to watch the entire series just to watch them kick some ass, even if it's supposed to be for kids (and I'm 19!).
  • I like Sen-chan (Dekagreen). Okay, scratch that. I heart Sen-chan; his unusual methods of thinking, his psychological past and his Lucy-from-Elfen-Lied-like personality (now I don't want to piss him off) has me over as my favourite DekaRanger (though Tetsu-chan (Dekabreak) is my second favourite).
  • Dekamaster (a.k.a Doggie Kruger) owns. No one should mess with a human-sized dog if he's around. Cool sword attacks and frankly, I prefer him in fur than scale - he's much cuter that way ^_^.
  • And the same goes for Dekaswan. She owns too with some kickass moves. Add her with Dekamaster and you get total ownage! Too bad, Swan can't use it again for at least four years.

And that's about it. Now, if you excuse me, I've got to finish my art stuff!

Quote of the Moment - "Don't call me partner!" - Hoji (aka Dekablue) from DekaRanger (Japanese version of Power Rangers SPD), where he asks his 'partner', Ban (aka Dekared) not to call him 'partner'. Still, it's hilarious to see their friendship still as strong as ever and yet, they're still fighting each other.

Cospprogess 3: Dye or Wig?

ARGH! I don't kn0w what to do with my hair now, so I need some opinions on whether I should buy a white wig or equivalent or dye my hair white (but dirty white) and get a hair cut...

And if you people choose the second option, I might be able to cosplay again as Godot from the Phoenix Wright series (if you have no idea who the f**k is Godot, I suggest you go to a certain Phoenix Wright fansite and click on the Characters section (btw, look for the bloke with white hair and that cool visor he's wearing. No, I'm not kidding).

Must stop blogging, got essay to finish now...

Cospprogress 3: Starting the costume and finding the fabrics

Just done clothes shopping yesterday and started modifying the bag, as well as the gloves (only done one of them so far).

And then recently today, one of my halls mate asked me about my weekend and it was just a typical clothes shopping that's 'girly' and then I told her about the cosplay I'm doing and asking her where to find a good fabric shop and then she told me there's a place in the outskrits of the Potteries car park in Hanley that sells fabrics, so it will be aworthwhile if I'm going there next Saturday. But for now, have to modify gloves and get some sleep or something...

Cospprogess 2.1: Measuring the Sword and Height

Done measuring the sword and done what my height is, so that means I can now scale how long the sword's going be and...now, I'm going to buy some clothes to make the costume (though the coat is going to be a tough one as it's impossible to buy a coat that has the same colour as Felts design, as well as finding one that isn't so sporty or something). However, I can get the boots and some other stuff that I customise.

So for now, I need some sleep...

Cospprogess 2: Measuring the Sword

So how am I doing?

Well, after planning on what materials I needed or something, this morning I planned out the measurements for the sword and eurgh...this took me around 3 hours to take some measurements on the height and width of the sword, as well as doing the 'subsections of the sword piece by piece, though I haven't figure out on how tall I am and then scale it. -_-;

Thank goodness I've got mathematic skills from my father and now all I need is some materials to make the sword, though the only problem is...I have no idea which ones are better at moulding the weapon: should I use sturdy foam or cardboard (btw, I'm going to leave the weapon making bit until I'm staying at Manchester for Xmas, where my lil sis is going to help me, while doing revisions for her Jan exams)?

If anyone would like to suggest, then you're free to do so. Right now, I'm going to buy some cheap clothes to get it started, prefably if it's Primark or something equivalent.

Quote of the Moment - "Ace-Ace-Ace-A Star!" - Mr Moore from that Mr Moore Song (btw, Mr Moore is my cousin's ex-GCSE maths teacher. Too bad the song is now a cult hit among my school's post 6th Form Students)

Cospprogess 1: Making Felt

After so many months being a lazy ass doing some costumes and then fail to finish it with full force, I finally decided to get my arse off and do something worthwhile for this: My Felt cosplay!

Yes, I know my brain's going to forget about this, but if I can make it in time for either Collectormania Gmex or MCM London Expo May 2007 in time, then I'm going to be famous on the Internet on being the only crossplayer (i.e. crossdresser as Felt is a bloke) who has ever crossplay (gender-bending costume play) as a bloke from other than Final Fantasy series. So, in order to make the costume and the sword, as well as balance uni stuff that I need to finish, I'll be putting the progress on how far I did on doing the cosplay as well as posting some ordinary out-of-the-wall stuff that I find interesting.

And if I tend to forget to make the costume, then remind me! Otherwise, you won't be seeing me cross-dressing as Felt!

And here's the picture that I'm going to cosplay (or rather crossplay) as...

And the Winner for the Most Badly Behaved Person is...

OMG! This is UK politcal correctness gone wrong again!

I was waking up from playing too much Silkroad Online from yesterday and after breakfast and popping down to good ol'student shop when I noticed the headlines from both The Times and The Guardian:

'Teenage see ASBOs as badge of honour"

WTF? I knew it! I knew stomping these riduculous Orders to teenages is a bad idea. I mean, these teenagers are not disciplined enough, so blame the bloody parents who couldn't be bothered on getting these kids straight years ago!

And as for the person who said that the teenagers who think these ASBOs are badge of honour and then he'll smirk off their faces by putting them into custody would only going to get worse. And if it's going to get worse than ever in the next few years, I'm moving to Dublin, Ireland!

Come back Pho! All is Forgiven!

(N.B. IT'S PRONOUNCED 'FUH', NOT 'FUR'!)

Yes, as the title suggests, I am Vietnamese and I expect to eat some delicious Vietnamese cuisine (okay, only a few selection), but there's one dish that I so missed, since I moved to Stoke-on-Trent from my family's hometown of Manchester:

Phở

There, I said it! I missed eating that wonderful noodle soup bowl that my parents cooked with very great care T_T! I missed eating the beef rare (yeah, it's like having the beef done in English cuisine, but in soup base), while slurping the rice noodles on my mouth and then, if possible that my stomach isn't full yet, swallowed the soup on my mouth. I just missed the warmth in it, especially as it comes to winter this year. T_T Maybe next year, I should take the train to uni; it's only 45 minutes from Manchester to Stoke-on-Trent, PLUS I think the city life in Stoke is pretty boring, despite being the safest city in the UK.

On another note, who never knew the British comedian Jimmy Carr came up using all he magnetic letters on the board in QI (UK Quiz show, where it involves on the basis of quite interesting facts, instead of the obvious)?

Quote of the Moment - 'PUT SMARTIES TUBES ON CATS LEGS MAKE THEM WALK LIKE A ROBOT' - Jimmy Carr, when he combined all the letters on the board and came up with this. Alan Davies was gobsmacked and commented 'Un-f**king-believeble'.

Uninspired Art Idea

Can't take my brain anymore. It's like I've been gone back to bed again in the morning, after doing a sketch and despite that I ate a healthy breakfast to keep my energy up! Though the worse news is...ARTIST'S BLOCK!AAAARRRGGGGHHH!!! Why, on why is it there?! Need, to find inspiration and a copy of The Times' Sudokou book collection now, before my brain has finally lost it on controlling my life.

Anyways, happy 'horrible' birthday, Hanh! You're now officially to drink as many alcohol as you like, BUT not too much!

Quote of the moment -"Keep linin'em up and I'll keep knockin'em down!" - Sakon Shima from Samurai Warriors 2. My God, he's such a charming person, I always play as him and levelling up to the max! Now, if I persuade Koei to make Kojiro Sasaki playable in the next sequel...

My 'Evil' Birthday

You Are 36% Evil

A bit of evil lurks in your heart, but you hide it well.

In some ways, you are the most dangerous kind of evil.

So that's why I'm evil underneath. Anyway, I'm FINALLY 19 today! Woohoo! So how am I going to spend my birthday? Erm, showing my sisters and taking them to a nice Belgian Bar. And even though I should act like an adult now, I'm still a teenager at heart (and probably nearing the end of it). Now, if you excuse me, I've got to watch Watership Down as my treat.

Shop Till You Drop and...O_O

Well, today I went with my good ol'friend from uni and we went shopping around in Hanley for clothes shopping, manga shopping, games shopping, anime shopping, DVD shopping (I can't believe Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is now part of 'buy 3 for £20' offer in HMV! XD) and smoothies buying and I laughed my head off when she told this was her first time on tasting an actual smoothie! Glad, I gave her the 'Strawberry Forever' on. And now, my feet are exhausting (Hanley's only a 15 minute walk).

And now this...strange, terribe and yet pretty at the same time...

You can visit their website over here. Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to watch Powerpuff Girls Z (the anime).
Quote of the moment - "I'm not made of potions!"- One famous Cloud from FFVII commenting about the natures of a main lead character o a famous VGCats webcomic. It's hilariously funny for video games and anime/manga fans and you can see the comics over here.

WTF? World Embryo being licenced already?

Yes, you've heard me. I was going to the M7 site to check on the progress and unfortunately, now I'll have to ages for this, as manga publisher, Tokyopop has licenced World Embryo. Dammit! Now, I'm going to cry as I was looking forward on reading chapter 17 and wonder what's going to happen between Riku...T_T...and then there's Takao and the events that is going.

You've heard it from me, now go and blame Tokyopop that the English translation takes a very long time (and also going to ruin the beautiful colour pages). I hope you're listening from me, Tokyopop! I want the colour pages to be left unaltered, so that I can enjoy the pages that Daisuke Moriyama has craftfully made, especially in later volume or I'll going to rant on how much time Tokyopop has ruin the Chrno Crusae creator's great work!

Quote of the moment - 'A Trojan Horse hasn't got wheels!' - A random person from the university I'm attending exclaiming on the art project we're doing as a group.

WTF? Jesus in Japan?

Here's an interesting article about Jesus in Japan

As being a Vietnamese Catholic descendent, I find this article very strange, but I never thought that Jesus would walk nearly 5,000 miles from Calvary to Aomori; he could be dead halfway through the journey. If I shown this to some fundamentalist Christian in America, he or she is going to rip my head off for this.

So anyway, only a few more days, till I'm officially an Uni student! Yay! And now, for some Fai/Fye/Fay lovin' from Tsubasa: Resevoir Chronicle or something (damn CLAMP, damn NHK).

How Not to Piss Sting Ray Plus Sister Rant

Poor Steve Irwin...Died by a sting ray aattack, even if the sting ray wasvery docile.

And now this...my stupid lil sis, Hanh thinks that I am a lazy slut bitch who does nothing but going to the Internet all day long. HELLO! It's her who is a bitch that annoys me all along. She needs to stop jumping people's personalities into conclusion! I'm not some selfish bitch that only cares for myself you know. Whenever she says about me and there's some trouble at the shop that my parents work there (as well as living in there) she goes like this...

*In an imitating Hanh's voice* "WHY DON'T YOU HELP IN THE SHOP MORE YOU SELFISH PERSON!?"

F**K HER! I'm not selfish! I care for my parents and my older sis as well as Hanh, but she just doesn't get the idea at all. I just wish that she'll just look into people's impression, including me personally, more than she is. *Sighs* And now, she's into her A2 Levels exam mode and I doubt her immature childish personality would go into adulthood and respect older people, like me. I just hope that she reads this blog entry and make her realize that she rushing and concluding into the people's impressions and would next time, try to think over and stopping bitching me saying I have no feelings for other people's feelings. And this is for Hanh if she's reading this blog:

"Why don't you stop being a bitch, calling me a 'selfish person with no feelings for others' and just slow down and judge the people around you, before you can make your impression. I'm getting sick and tired of this! I have feelings for other people too and it's time that you should grow up and stop saying that 'you're a baby'. You're not! You're turning into an adult soon and it's time you should take responsiblity yourself! You might think you can order me around, just because you want to, but you're still too youn to be the boss! Get some experience and once you're old enough, then you can boss some younger people around!"

There, I said it...I typed it with my feeling that should get Hanh's impact. Now, I'm hoping that she didn't get into a blog entry and start ranting about me.

The Next Sequel to Snakes on a Plane

*laughs like a real idiot* I can't believe this was the winner of the Blanks on a Blank competition and it shows. Now, if only there was a Final Fantasy edition to it...hmm, maybe 'Chocobos on an Airship' where Cloud can be the lead charaacter shouting: 'I want these mother-f**king chocobos off the mother-f**king airship!'

Or even better, the Kingdom Hearts version, 'Moogles on a Gummi Ship' where Sora goes out yelling: 'I want these mother-f**king moogles off my mother-f**king Gummi ship!'

Quote of the Moment - 'Eight hours of running after her and we've finally chased her down." - Rosette Christopher from Chrno (Chrono) Crusade, to which it was Daisuke Moriyama's great work. Now can someone please tell every D.M. fan to look at his other great work, World Embryo.

Good Way To Exercise Yourself

Oh cool! I found this over at YouTube and this is the coolest music video I've seen - Dancing on Treadmills! Eat your heart out Snakes On A Plane!

Better go now and do something, before I go to M7 site and shout: "WHEN THE HELL ARE YOU GOING TO RELEASE CHAPTER 15 OF WORLD EMBRYO?! THIS IS WWWWAAAAAAYYYY PAST DUE THE DATE?!"

GOING TO UNI!

I've finally got my A-Level results and yes, it is crap (though for some reason I passed AS Product Design with a C), but that doesn't matter cause I'm going to uni to do an art and design degree and no more exams, notes and those long-boring hours of listening to teachers = I can draw whatever I like!

DAMMIT I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!

WHY M7?! WHY HAVEN'T YOU F**KING RELEASE THE SCANLATED CHAPTER 15 OF WORLD EMBRYO ASAP?! I know that you're scanlating Trigun Maximum, Hellsing, Gintama and Bleach, but haven't those been licensed?! JUST RELEASE WORLD EMBRYO NOW! My paitence has been running so thinly now!

And if you're wondering on why I'm ranting now, just look at the website below and demand Maximum 7 to release the further scanlated chapters of World Embryo ASAP. DO IT NOW!

I was at YouTube recently, until I found this - Star Wars Banjo! I actually laugh at this when I first watch this. Never knew imagining Darth Vadar taking up a banjo...Well, why don't you see it for yourself!

Well, I'm off to watch that Utada Hikaru's video, so see ya!

Found in Translation - World Embryo

Just a quick drabble to the World Embryo fans. If you're wondering on what the title in chapter 14 says, I recently downloaded mIRC and then spoke to one of the mods asking for the translation and this is what 'he' says:

"From Hand to Hand"
So there you go. Big thanks to -Asakura- from the M7 mIRC channel for answering the question. Now, if you excuse me, I'm 'going to bishie-hunt down' Riku and meddle with his 'ears'. *Turns an evil grin*

Must Be Seeing Double

Yes, you read that right. I was going to the alternative called the 'Internet', where I find something surprising similar to the characters from World Embryo.

Takao (World Embryo) and K' (King of Fighters series)

Whoa! Takao does ressemble K', in terms of hair style, except K' uses fists and Takao uses a katana...and there's something not human about him. You want proof, go and check below for these screenshots and decide for yourself.

Doesn't he look similar to someone?OMG! Is this Takao's long lost brother?!

Riku Amami - Kanshu form (World Embryo) and Allen Walker (D. Gray Man or Something)

Someone mentioned that Kanshu Riku looks like that bloke, Allen Walker and I dismissed at first. Until I went to the D. Gray Man fansite and found I was wrong. My God, he DOES look similar to Allen! Except, I don't think Riku would be a good Exorcist, lol.

Aaaw, look at him! I want to mess with his cute 'ears'!O_O Even the scar looks similar to Riku! Just look at it!

Youhei Takabe (World Embryo) and Kaede (Last Blade series)

Choose the blonde haired version of Kaede and you'll see why he looks similar to Youhei.

He's your typical 'happy-go-lucky' character. NotWas Youhei's ancestor a samurai that look somehow look similar to him?

Nagase (World Embryo) and Reno (Final Fantasy VII and Advent Children)

Oh come on! Don't look at me like that! Someone at the Deviantart.com website thought that not only Nagase looks like the fangirl's favourite Turk, he also act like him, except...Reno didn't die, unlike Nagase, but I'm not going to tell you, since you have to read it for yourself.

Okay, so he doesn't have Reno's spiky hair, but come on!Has Daisuke Moriyama watched too much Advent Children, I wonder?

Riku Amami - Human Form (World Embryo) and Harry Potter (Harry Potter series)

Last, but not least (well for the male part. Dammit! I can't find the female lookalike), is that before Riku became Kanshu, his human form really looks like the Wizard-in-training boy, as told by my sister. At first, I thought she was joking, but boy was I wrong...

Once upon a time, Riku had no ability to cast magic, but is a great liar.Once upon a time, Harry had no mobile phone, but is a great wizard

And there you have it, a shortlist of the World Embryo lookalikes that I've found out. Okay, I would have add Kanzaki and Rude to the list, but somehow Rude's not some head of the Turks (it's Tseng!). If you've got any more lookalikes, including the female characters of course, just let me know. Well, ciao for now!

Cannot Stop Reading

Damn you Daisuke Moriyama (in a good way ^_^)! Because of reading too much World Embryo, I am now somehow attracted to the main protagonist, Riku Amami, because not only his characterisation, but his looks. By the time I got into chapter 6, where...

*SPOILER! Highlight it, either at your own risk or you already read* Riku was killed by a Kanshu after he was free and barely managed to keep his memory from losing by the enemy, but then got resurrected from Neene's mysterious powers, to which he becomes a Kanshu himself. Only except, unlike the unlucky ones that become Kanshu, Riku (now in Kanshu mode) killed the bloody lot and after regaining his senses, in particular thanks to his childhood friend and Jinki User, Youhei; he was captured...and yet after that, he was still in his Kanshu form, but now he can control himself. Man, I never he would turn out to be so hot and goodlooking! *Drools at Kanshu Riku. A lot.* *END SPOILER*

And now, becuase of the bloody tension he's left at 13, I can't wait for a bloody month to download the scanlation and read. And then re-read. And then re-re-read. And then, etc. Only a couple of days to go. Dammit. >_< Quote of the moment - "What is it...?(Mesh?)" - Riku Amami from Daisuke Morimaya's excellent latest manga, World Embryo.

Nearly Got Out of Exam Hell

Dammit! Only 6 days to go, before I can really say sayonara to exams, school and chemistry teachers (well, there is one exception, but I'll it at that)! Yay! But wait, bad news! *Gasp* Unfortunately, three days after my A2 chemistry exam, I've got that Book Return Day *BOO!*, where I have to return the bloody textbooks I've used, but I lost two technology textbooks! O_O;

Hehe, but at least I've saved the GCSE version, so that my graphic design will not haunt me for the rest of my life! Well, only 6 days to go, before I can finally post the two special chapters of Nimbus Exploration! Btw, the special chapters were written, before revision start, so be grateful the wait is well worth it.

And oh yes, I forgot to say thanks to mihoyonagi for making the great AeriSeph icon; I gave the original source for her to photoshop it, as you can see on the top-right hand corner. Thanks mate, keep writing the latest chapters for Unspoken! ^_^

My Lovely Ball Photos

Yes, this was the last time my friends and I are going to see each other at school, but hey, here are some photos with comments by moi!

My friend Graham wanted to do some poses while I took some photos with him, so here you go Graham! Love that James Bond pose!

"The name's Wade. Graham Wade." lol
Laura and Yoo Jin - The two lovely girls dressing up for such an occasion. You look so fabulous!

And here is my favourite friend Michael, who loves Final Fantasy VII as much as I do too.

Oh look! It's the party bus! Just arrived here in time for the ball!

And here's the rest of them, since I can't be bothered to post them all of my ball photos.

Btw, if you're not in the ball on Saturday night and been wondering who's that short girl in a white Vietnamese national dress, that's me. Yes, that's Sho-saka, ak.a. Sho Lover herself. Now, you can comment about the ball or something. They're very welcome indeed. ^_^

Wow! I never knew his voice was sexy...

Let's see, I've bought (well my younger sis paid the other half) for Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children DVD last week with a FREE poster, I've decided to watch the whole film IN ENGLISH and this is how I thought about the character voices:

  • Cloud: I've already heard Steve Burton's voice in Kingdom Hearts, so it's no surprise he still reprising his role in Advent Children and it still really fits his voice.
  • Tifa: Well, it did fit her voice, but on the mobile phone, she sounded like a robot!
  • Barret: Fits well, nuff said.
  • Cid: Haven't heard him for a long time, but it did fits his rough attitude.
  • Yuffie: Well, at least her voice wasn't a hyper version of Rikku from FFX.
  • Red XIII: For some reason, even though his accent's a bit British, he does sound and fit well.
  • Vincent: He sounded like Snake from Metal Gear Solid having a bad day with his throat, but it still fits.
  • Cait Sith: Scottish accent?! Don't usually see this in many video game movies. More surprisingly, the Japanese version had him in Scottish accent too!
  • Rufus: Cool and intelligent. That's all I could say.
  • Reno: His voice did fit well, but no 'yo' slang in it. Drat!
  • Rude: His voice did fit well too and I'm surprised Crispin Freeman did that, even though he did the voice of Albel from Star Ocean: Till the End of Time!
  • Elena: Short role, but fits.
  • Tseng: The same goes for him, having his voice done by a Chinese bloke or something.
  • Reeve: And for him.
  • Kadaj: Young and violent. That's very fitting for his voice.
  • Yazoo: His voice fits well too, but sounds a slightly fruity, though with a hint of Riku's English voice from Kingdom Hearts.
  • Loz: I'm really worried about this when he was actually a big softie at heart, but thankfully at least the voice actor actually cried.
  • Marlene: She sounded like an eight year old girl, but it fits well.
  • Denzel: The same goes for him.
  • Zack: Short role too, but at least his voice did fit well.
  • Aerith: She really sounded a lot like Yuna from the English version of FFX (btw, Mena 'American Pie' Suvari provided the voice of Aerith), but it really fits her well.
  • Sephiroth: And finally, I've come to the last person that I have been dreading to hear his voice in English, but...[highlight, if you don't want to know]....MY GOD, GIVE GEORGE NEWBERN A TREAT, because his voice is way too sexy to describe this! And thank the Lord, Lance Bass isn't going to reprise his role.

And that's my summary. Feel free to commment on the voices, whether you like it or not.

Quote of the moment - 'Reno: (speaking in high pitch) Hel-lo!

Rude: Hell no! (The two Turks ran away like scared chocobos.)' - English version of FFVII: Advent Children

I Found An AeriSeph Doujinshi...

...well at least I found one as an online doujinshi. Even though it's in Japanese I found this VERY rare AeriSeph online doujinshi called 'Secret Innocence' and it's set how would Aeris/Aerith and her mother Ilfana (Effulunar in the Japanese FFVII for some reason) escaped the Shinra Building with a help from a certain silver-haired teenager (i.e. Sephiroth), before the 'real' storyling in FFVII kicks in.

Now, before you can go to the link in a moment, here's a warning: If you ARE not an Aeris/Aerith x Sephiroth fan like me, then I suggest you would not click it right now as it would contain some AeriSeph moments. However, if you are an AeriSeph fan, then this is a great read for all AeriSeph fans, even if it's in Japanese.

Click here for the RARE AeriSeph online doujinshi, if you like the pairing.

And if you like artwork, then you click to the FFVII fanart site here.

Now, if only could someone please translate 'Secret Innocence into English (and yes, that involves asking the permission to the original fanartist that created this doujinshi)? I'll pay you with lots of 'money'!

Quote of the Moment - 'I have two themes for Narnia' - Harry Gregson-Williams (Yes, the same composer that gave you Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3) talking about the compsosing of 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' (2005) film.

Coffee + Good Mood = Argh!

Stupid caffinated coffee! Yesterday and today, coffee has just ruined my life. Argh! I'm so hyperactive, I can't even think on where to put the correct number into a sudoku puzzle! Argh!

Well, anyway, this morning, my frined Jenny discussed about men in the virtural world and my video game plan in the future. And for some apparent reason she gave me a good indication on what fantasy men I fancied. Well, I have some good favourite male characters, but the others I am going to mention are just downright bizarre. So, here's the list sample on the 'normal' male charaters that I like:

  • Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII
  • Rufus Shinra (blonde) from FFVII
  • Reno from FFVII

And here are the somewhat downright bizarre that I am strangely attracted to:

  • Doctor Octopus from Spiderman 2 (The movie version, duh!): don't really ask me, but his looks is better than the animated series.
  • Killy from BLAME!: I have no idea why he is good-looking, not to mention if there was ever any female fans of Killy. Or maybe I must be the only girl in the world to have a liking to him, due to his pale looks and Japanese-type hairdo and other stuff.
  • Loz from FFVII: Advent Children: I'm really not sure, if he ever had some female fans, but I like him, because let's just say, he's a big softie at heart and if he was off-camera from Advent Children, he would have bought moogle and chocobo plushies for Marlene (note in during the film, that Marlene is actually behind Loz, making that he's pretty gentle with her, despite kidnapping her for the 'doom' reason or something).
  • 'Hero' from Dragon Quest (VIII, if you live outside Europe): The Journey of the Cursed King: Okay, so he doesn't talk, but he dresses good for a person going out to explore and he has a cute pet called Munchie.
  • V from V for Vendetta: Why he looks good in a Guy Fawkes suit complete with a Guy Fawkes mask is beyond my understanding, but his personality is strangely attracted to me, if I could side-stepped the explosions.

And that's all could think of. Comment me, if you think the attraction of the characters above mentioned are ridiculously bizzare to any girl's taste.

Quote of the moment - 'Throw in Matrix veteran James McTeigue's flat direction and you have a woeful, depressing failure.' - Jonathan Ross's review on V for Vendetta film over at Film 2006. Great comic, shame its creator, Alan Moore, disown it now that the film came out.

I'm a Depressed Teenager, Now Get Me in Uni ASAP!

I don't know what's been bothering today as I am writing in the School Library ICT Suite today, but lately, I've been depressed over the daunting coming few months that is known as the AS/A2 Levels exams. I know those are important for the future of going to uni, but it seems it's taking its toll now. It's just like the GCSE I did two years ago, where I felt I am going into overkill and felt that I can't take this anymore. But then, in the wise words of my now ex-physics teacher Mr. Martin, this is just only a game. And what's been depressing is the fact that school life is actually very stressful than being in uni.

Well, at least I've got my graphics teacher to cheer me up, when I'm not in such a good mood.

No Common Sense

Stupid Hanh! Thinking that I am an idiot last night, she thinks my intelligence is as low as a monkey's bottom. However, she, herself, is an idiot too, because she always jumping to conclusion rather too quickly, without giving me some time to defend my action. The reason? The Granny Smith Apple Debate. Some years ago, I used to like them as a child, but nowadays, I just felt that sour taste of the green apple wasn't that sour anymore and before I said to my mum about how I don't want to eat them anymore, Hanh just went outburst saying to me whether I said 'yes' or 'no', before calling me an idiot.

Stupid her! She didn't think about the timing of my thoughts and forgets that old proverb: 'Think before you leap'. Or think carefully about your sense, before performing the action. I think she went action first, then thoughts. And then after that, she said that I broke that Lenten promise. HELLO! I did NOT break that Lenten promise! Oh sure, I won't get really angry at her and be nice, but that doesn't mean I can insult softly to her and that includes her actions as well. *Sigh* I just wish she realises what she did was a complete misunderstanding last night and this was al her fault for jupming to conclusions too quickly, instead of me.

RUN...For Charity!

Yestrday was the amazing day for me...running the 5K in Heaton Park all for Charity. Man, my legs are beginning to ache now!

And even today as I'm writing this bloomin' blog, they're still aching again! >_< It's like when I did Race for Life last year.

Well, it's time to go back to reality and doing my Lita from Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana costume and writing Nimbus Exploration (FFVII/KH crossover fanfiction that is AeriSeph) and possibly doing fanart, before going on to the exams. *sigh*

UK Young and Old Teenagers and Parents - Hang Your Head in Shame

GO AND BUY 'WE LOVE KATAMARI' NOW, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD/ALLAH/(INSERT ANOTHER NAMED GOD)!!!

Why on Earth you simple-minded people choose rubbish movie and TV licenses, sport titles and Need for Speed? Those games are actually boring and really put me off for ages! I mean that YOU need to cross the new world in video games genres. Even PS2 format magazines, like PSM2 and the Official UK Playstation 2 Magazine, called 'We Love Katamari' the best game with very high reviews. Of course it may have weird visuals and a strange J-Pop soundtrack, the gameplay isn't and the King of the Cosmos s actually such a hilarious character that made me smile! Even my little sister and I have fun in the Select Meadow, where instead of rolling some objects around, we chase each other, playing 'tig' or 'tag' and have such memories that made me smile. So here are my suggestions to you Teenagers and Parents:

  1. Please, please, please! Stop buying Need for Speed Underground (insert number)! I had enough of EA (UK publisher of W.L.K) 's game in the UK charts for weeks! It's getting so boring now.
  2. NO MORE 50 CENT BULLETPROOF AND GANSTA GAMES! Violence is not so cool any more.
  3. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING A GAME THAT HAS PHOTO-REALISTIC GRAPHICS!!! Because parents, that will drain away your children's imagination.
  4. Recommend your children/friends to buy We Love Katamari, even if they say they're not into it!

And that's it. Now go and convert mainstream people into one of the fans to the King of All Cosmos. NOW!

Quote of the moment - 'Naaaaaa-na-na-na-na-na-na, Katamari Damashi-i!' - Me singing a chorus of the Katamari Damacy theme tune.

Symantec = Evil Program that likes to block art

I hate Symantec in school. They've blocked deviantart.com, just because it has excessive amount of questionable words? What rubbish! I know offensive words, like f**k are blocked to keep little youngsters out of trouble, but to block something that you would like to put your artwork to the web is just riduculous. Devianart.com doesn't contain some 'questionable words', but I ever wondered, if Symantec are just a bunch of strict geeks who hate art in all forms and once I've put in, I've wondered if this evil program is going to block the freedom of speech?

And well done to the ministers back at Parliament for rejecting the Religious Hatred Bill. That'll show Tony Blair that freedom of speech is more important than just censoring them.

Image hosting by Photobucket

And here's my fanart piece that was supposed to submit to devianart.com, before Symantec decided that art will be restricted, though sadly Square Enix owns the characters above and this is actually the first time I used digital art, hence some improvements needed for my skills; a good first try on Corel Painter IX (demo version!).

Proof that Silver-Haired People like Brunettes

Don't really ask me why, unless you're an Aeriseph (Aeris (Aerith)/Sephiroth) fan like me, but I've been making some theories as to why these two FFVII characters would be best for pairings, rather than Aeris/Cloud, Aeries/Rufus, Aeris/Reno, Aeris/Zack and other Aeris/(insert male FFVII character):

  1. If you played the original PSOne game before, you would have noticed that Aeris only treated Cloud as just a brother to him, giving advice on some parts than getting romantically involved.
  2. Aeris and Zack are just friends to each other, so that might be a reason why he never flirted with her: just talking to each other.
  3. Tseng and Aeris are only friends to each other, not pairings, why? Back when Rufus's dad was still alive, she is still a young child and he treated her as a little sister.
  4. Rufus and Reno both have little interest into Aeris: The blonde bloke is only interested in other stuff besides her and Reno is just following orders, so what more can you expect?
  5. Vincent, Barret and Cid have little love interest with, other than the fact they treated her as a friend. Enough said.
  6. Tifa and Sephiroth pairing? Okay, that came out of nowhere, but sadly I think Tifa never liked him, since he killed her dad in the first place. And then there's the Yuffie and Sephiroth pairing: I'm sorry, but that ninja would never be with a guy that has just 'sliced' every one of the Wutanese soldiers.
  7. Watch the credits at the end of FFVII: Advent Children and when at the end of the cast section, you should the names of Aeris and Sephiroth apparently there. Perhaps some of the Square Enix staff have a keen interest of Aeriseph.

And that's about it. So, what's next? Asking the director to make another prequel of how Aeris and her mother got involved in the Shinra labs, where young Sephiroth was apparently there in the scene or something.

My New Addiction - Sudoku

ARGH! Stupid British version of The Times in school! That sudoku is just as addictive as playing many hours of Tetris and now even the UK Catholic newspaper The Universe has added in another sudoku at the back of the page (imagine Pope Benedict XVI playing sudoku in his spare time)! Has the world gone for sudoku mad? Although I'm not really sure if Muslims, Jews, Hindus and other religious groups around the globe has been bitten by the sudoku bug. And now, even the manga industry went mad for sudoku too...this is just getting insane.

Well, I've gotta go now and have an early happy Chinese/Vietnamese New Year as I would say. (Gets off typing the keyboard and starts filling numbers in the Times sudoku (mild version), before curses herself mentally.)

Cutting the ties off from my mother

I hated her. I hated her ever since I was a child. It's just that I'm actually servevely cutting off the ties from her, since she came from a Vietnamese background.

The problem is, unlike her, the current generation of Vietnamese girls and women, like myself and my older sis, are that more are giving more freedom and have the right to express themselves. Even, if they do not want to become doctors or anything useful, like teachers, it's just that for the first time, I can do whatever I want for my future. My dad seems to be okay with the situation, but never with my mother.

Why? She never experienced what true freedom is like. She doesn't know many current generation Vietnamese girls want to have the same experience as the normal British people and enjoy life. Why the hell does she think I'm going to apply a job at a worthless supermarket with low minimum wage?!

SHE DOESN'T EVEN REALISES I HAVE A SMALL TALENT IN TERMS OF BEING CREATIVE AND APPLYING THAT TO THE CANVAS!!! And doing an art and design foundation course in uni is a good choice, but she never understands! That's why I hate the past Vietnamese women who were restricted in their entire life!

Call me a black sheep, Vietnamese and British girls and women, but wake up! Break away the old society of Vietnamese life and explore the unknown, where your undiscovered talent will unlock yourself and be happy. Stand up to your Vietnamese mothers and tell them that you're not like them!

I've just discovered that the current generation ones are being oppressed, because of thier great talents, so I'm standing up and I'm telling my mother that their old ways of raising the children is too old for the society today and break the boundaries that surround and for once, reaching their favourite dream.

Another Religious Rant

Yes, that's what the title above says, but I'm getting shocked that according to the Comment over at Wednesday's Guardian, Muslims today hate Jews, even they said that the Holocaust was just a hoax.

As a Catholic person, I find that very sickening and morally wrong that some Islamic countries just shut down Hitler's torture to the Jews. And I can say only one comment to them:

'HELLO! Muslims, especially living in Islamic countries, get over it and stop hating the Jews!'

The Jews suffered more damage in history than your people ages ago. I mean, if Hitler is still alive, would he torture the same people as you are (if you are a Muslim)?

World War II must be accepted to all Muslims as a history they cannot forget, because even Hitler suffered some Catholics as well, not forgetting Pope Benedict XVI (German) left the Nazi party, as he was forced to be in the army. Not just the Jews.

So, in conclusion, if Christian people forgave the Jews and thte Jews forgave the Christians, why not do the same to Muslims forgiving Jews? And I don't mean suiciding yourselves to kill people and proclaim it as 'jihad'.

History is important to everyone and we must not forget the people, especially those who suffered in the Holocaust and one day, we can find peace in the future, without resorting to violence.

Oh, and if you want to read the comment, just click here.

The Vatican is going to ex-communicate me.

After reading yesterday Metro's regarding Pope Benedict XVI's 'comment' that g a y priests should be banned, I find it ridiculous and alienating the minority more than buddhists and Protestants.

Regarding that I'm actually Catholic, I just don't like the way the current Pope is commenting about them. I mean, he says that all people should communicate with each other, regardless of religion, race and relationships, why should he be abusing homos e x u a l people? Is he really a homophobic?

What's next, the Pope banning young Catholic teenage girls writing shounen-ai (Boy's Love) fanfiction or drawing shounen-ai fanart? I wish the late Pope John Paul II could sort this mess out. Sheesh, I feel like I'm being manipulated by the Church, where the freedom of expression, words and the right to crictise have been banned and turning into more communist than North Korea. I'm starting to really worry about the Church's future.

D a m n me, Ratzinger lovers and Catholic extremist people, but let me warn you that times are changing; people are more aware that we need to find the real truth and I found out that we do make mistakes as humans; that INCLUDES the Pope and not even every religion has the ultimate meaning of life.

It's Official. I'm the only Jin Uzuki Fangirl

Gah! This is just like the same thing as the only Sho fangirl (and if you don't know who the heck he is, go to the below after this blog entry) in the whole universe! After playing a bit, well a lot of Xenosaga II, I love Shion's older brother as:

  1. Not only his good taste of colour and fashion (well, I love blokes wearing a Japanese robe for some time)
  2. But also his personality and the fact he changes job from a soldier to a doctor to a bookseller just makes me laugh and not putting off from the other characters that a) are a bit annoying b) look too young and c) really popular with the Xenosaga fangirls.

And was shocked and angry that there wasn't a Jin Uzuki fanlisting and the Uzuki siblings in sight and a shrine dedicated to him just wants to make me run rampaging the Xeno fans! So I urge any female (and male) Jin Uzuki fan to:

  1. Make a Jin Uzuki fanlisting and a Uzuki siblings fanlistings ASAP so that I can support the charming swordsman of the star cluster.
  2. Get me a a link of the Jin Uzuki shrine, so that I can post fanarts of him.

Thank you for your attention to bring him into the Internet!

December is going to be Dull

Earlier this morning, I was too busy eating my cornflakes, when on the BBC News Breakfast I had a terrible feeling:

According to the Daily Express, Christmas is banned in South London due to that it offends Muslims. Now, the council wants to call it 'Celebrity Lights' and 'Winter Lights'. This is what my initial reaction is like:

*Gets her 'imaginary chainsaw' and starts 'spreading' the council.*

I know I should other religions, including Islam, since being a Catholic, but this is going too far. This is a Christian (and Catholic) holiday and we're offending Muslims and other religious people? Nonsense. Christmas is supposed to be about coming together as a whole family, NOT decorating Christmas trees, turkeys and meeting Father Christmas (Santa Claus). And most of the time, Muslims, Hindi, Buddhists and other religious people are not really bothered about the Christian holidays.

And I apologise to those sensitive religious people if I offended you.

My Corpse Bride Photos

Man, what a Birthday! After being ditched by my female counterpart friends, my Hungarian friend and I went shopping to 2 Waterstones Bookstores; we were really lucky enough to see the puppets used in Corpse Bride in the Cornerhouse. ^_^ Well, here they are:

Well, the one on the right is an ugly me, along with Victor and his skeletal counterpart.

^_^ Wow. I've never met with Emily (the Corpse Bride) THIS 'big', despite looking small. Though this wasn't expected as I thought.

If anyone wants to do a caption of the posing Victor, put it in the 'comment' box.

Apologies about the quality of the picture, but the door to the exhibition was locked, so I couldn't properly photographed it! From left, Victoria, Victoria's Dad and Victor himself.

And there are some other pictures that I couldn't even be bothered to post it.

^_^ My Corpse Bride Birthday

*Sings like an idiot* It's my birthday! It's my birthday-*Looks at the bloggers and viewers. Then, turns into a sane girl.*

Well, uh, anyway, tomorrow's my BIG 18th birthday and that's means going to see the Corpse Bride film, as well as the exhibition in Cornerhouse (actually, the puppets were made in Altrincham, near Manchester). Unfortunately for US bloggers, at least, if you want to see the exhibtion, take the plane to Manchester quick, because it will last, till 6th November.

In other news, my mum and dad gave me a DiMAGE digital camera for my early b'day present, meaning I can take photos of myself, as well as posing in front of the Corpse Bride puppets and send it to the Internet, making jealous to my other friends and Tim Burton fans.

Well, I'm off to my party tomorrow and if you do not believe me about the C.B. exhibition, just click on the website:

I'm a Vatican Exorcist!

Culotte
You are simple, shy, and a bit naïve. However, you have a courageous streak, and try hard to earn the respect of others. But you might not earn it with a name like "Culotte."

Which Nippon Ichi Character Are You?

Uh, not exactly a member of the Vatican Exorcists, but I wished I had. Then I won't be bored by typing this blog entry. *Shrugs herself* Oh, well. BTW you can take this Nippon Ichi Character Test over @:

All-in-one

Last night, well a few days ago, my dad bought an all-in-one HP Photosmart 2610 printer. And why do you ask? Simple, so he can send fax to the companies for his small business stuff and also, my lil sis and I can post our fanart to deviantart.com! Yay! Though the bad news is, he's still keeping that old b******d Desklet 882C printer. I do respect my dad, in terms of general stuff, such as religion and opinions, but keeping old technology while it's on the verge of being broken is beyond my knowledge for him. Oh, he also bought an USB hub, which means I can buy a flash drive that I always want! Yay for me! ^__^ Right, I should stop writing this blog; I've got a physics coursework and UCAS stuff to finish.

UCAS time! Hurry, hurry, hurry!

Gah! Yesterday, I had to get my UCAS hard copy to my Form Tutor, only it led to more confusion than I ever had. Fortunately, I got it all sorted out and later that night I've asked my dad to pay er, £15 for the application. the only trouble was, neither him nor me knew who is going to be payable for. So, that's why today, I am going to ask my Form Tutor for situation. Now, if only those pesky male Lower School pupils would just leave the computers alone, I would have printed 3 more hard copies for my UCAS preference and signed by my Form Tutor! And if you do not know what I'm talking about, non-UK people, here's the UCAs website to make it more understanding below:
